The Company

Thomas Petroleum Company has been supplying petroleum fuels, home heat fuel and off road fuel since 1984. Today, Ray Thomas, founder and President of Thomas Petroleum Company, has grown the once small business to a $150 million plus annual sales volume business with over 145 wholesale customers, nearly 50 C-Store clients and ownership of nine C-Store units. Mr. Thomas was the first in North Carolina to bring the alternative fuel E85 to the motoring public in June of 2005. Currently, TPC in the only supplier of ethanol 85 to public fueling centers in North Carolina. TPC is also a part of an aggressive campaign with clean fuel coalitions and other environmental groups to open more ethanol fueling centers in the coming months.

  Objective

With the first opening of the “Renewable Fuels for America” alternative fueling dispenser at Gasland USA #7 in Shelby, North Carolina, TPC established itself as the leader in this new arena of the petroleum fueling business. By the end of 2005, “Renewable Fuels for America” fueling islands became available at three Charlotte, NC locations, two Shelby, NC sites and one in Statesville, NC. Since that time, additional North Carolina locations have emerged in Southern Pines, Pinehurst, Durham, and in Hickory.

  By providing “Tomorrow’s Fuel Here Today,” Thomas Petroleum Company is ahead of the curve in the petroleum field with the distribution of the alternative fuels E85 and B20 biodiesel in North Carolina. By taking an aggressive approach with these products, TPC is making a stand to reduce our nation’s dependency on foreign oil and to promote a cleaner environment for America.
